IX is my favorite as well.

VII is by far the most popular FF, if not RPG, of all time.

A IX remake will make my dreams come true, since that was the first Final Fantasy I ever played. Heck, 2-3 years ago, I finally managed to get the Excalibur 2 legitimately and finally complete everything there was to do in that game.
