All of the big 3 authenticators charge about the same in general, just different ways. I think eBay uses the most smoke and mirrors though.

Yikes.. so stockx admitted 3 things.
1. They knowingly lied about the authenticity guarantee of their sneakers.
2. They can't tell what percentage of fakes pass through their system.
3. Their authenticators really can't differentiate real kicks from fake ones.
I'm not sure why people continue to use stockx.
No one said that...If y’all think StockX is the only 3rd party platform that isn’t 100% when it comes to differentiating fake from legit, I have some beachfront property in Arizona I can sell you.

Agree with you but I been saying since the get go that goat was #1Maybe other platforms might have a higher % of accuracy, but none of em are 100%. Fakes are too good these days.
How can some of them authenticate shoes that haven’t even released yet?
It's funny you mention that because historically I've had the same stance.I've bought a couple of shoes through the platforms that authenticate and I've never gotten a legit check after the fact anywhere. Why? Idgaf all that much like I wouldn't knowingly buy a fake but I also ain't x-raying a sneaker to check it. If my L&F are fake I'm good not knowing this since they look good to my eye and GOAT said they were good. I might have a different stance if the majority of my shoes came from those places.
How ironic that you trust eBay so much more now when eBay was historically the home of fakes being sold before their authentication services.I never understood why, as a buyer, you would need whatever commonly counterfeited flavor of the month so desperately enough to blindly trust these local young adults to "authenticate" your shoes. If I had a nickel for every time I saw someone on NT post "do you think I should buy these from stockx?" or "just got these from stocxk, what do you guys think?" Customers made this hard, not the resale marketplace companies.
Last new shoe I bought resale was b&w 1s off ebay in Feb/March 2023. I knew that weren't making '85 fakes like that. 100% feedback, all other legit listings, snkrs order confirmation in listing. That's why I always go ebay over others. Never bought from goat, seldom stockx. Most of the rarest/most valuable pairs I ever got were either ebay or fb groups; usually those are used so stockx isn't even an option. And I always vet the seller as much as possible, whether via their social media, other listings, whatever I can find. Never got scammed or juuged in my life. Amazing what can happen when you do your own homework.
And yes, I've ordered from stockx...it'd be harder to find fakes of these than legit
I feel you. I'm that way with stockX. They rejected a pair of Zebras I sold right before the initial re-release and cost me some bread I haven't sold there since. (They let fakes through but wouldn't let my finesse rock )It's funny you mention that because historically I've had the same stance.
Once I get an item I usually give it a look over then put it back in the box or on the shelf and never think twice about it.
However, I recently had a bad experience with GOAT that has soured my view of that platform. They sold me fake shorts and I had to really fight to get my refund because I threw away the shipping sleeve. Their policy requires everything including the shipping sleeve which I only threw away because I figured I got the item from GOAT so it should be good. I honestly only stumbled upon my item being fake because of Reddit.
Now I'm hesitant about just blindly trusting the service and I'm off GOAT for good.
Pot calling kettle black because he wears and reviews fakes anyways
People cared but tt didnt stop a majority of people from buying them tho. I think they stopped “authenticating” because of the suit with NikeStockx stopped authenticating shoes in 2022 and nobody cared.
I guess that was a good call by stockX thenPeople cared but tt didnt stop a majority of people from buying them tho. I think they stopped “authenticating” because of the suit with Nike
