Expensive Haircuts worth it?

I cut my hair about once every 18 months or so, if I want to try something drastic I'll go to the nice shop and pay 40, if I'm just doing a maintenance I'll hit up just about any place. The nice shop gives you a glass of whiskey or a pint of beer while you wait, so it's nice that there's normally no children in the shop.

If you think about it it evens out, for those of us who pay $40+ we are getting our hair cut every 4-8 weeks. How many times do you visit a barber in that time span?

i get mine cut every 2 months or so i just line it up myself to keep it clean.

i def get what you're saying though. some dudes go to the barbershop every week or two but I'm not bout that life.

He's Asian and doesn't just get a fade/lined-up. He tells me it's worth it. Multiple people at your attention. Beverages, tvs, etc. It's an experience.

Beat me to it. You got fools in here bragging about paying 15-20 for their cuts but if they are like my friends and just get a simple line up and a fade and go at least twice a month its the same price.
I too pay $40 ($30 plus $10 tip) and I too go every 4-8 weeks.

I've gotten expensive haircuts but they usually don't cut my hair the style that the 20 dollar barber cuts it. i prefer the style the 20 dollar barber cuts it, no salon does a taper properly

I go to a barber shop but that's ran like a salon. $15 with shampoo. Somewhat old Korean lady with 15+ years of experience.
