We got out hands on some sides for the upcoming "Fast and the Furious 4" today, starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel (or 'Vin Diesel and Paul Walker' depending on who fights to have their name above the other - I'm guessing it'll be Mr. Vincent), and I gotta say, the film sounds pretty good.

Times have definitely changed since the first film… and the script refects this; right down to just how much illegal street racing has changed since Dominic (Diesel) burned rubber in the original.

This time, he's in Mexico, where he's racing 'for' a guy named Braga. From the sounds of it, Brian (Paul Walker) has chased him down there, and may have even set up this 'Braga' deal (possibly as part of a deal for Dom - 'you help us catch this guy, you get a leaner sentence'); not that Dom's going to play nicely, naturally.

Dom's still as cheeky as ever… and as charming (About half-way through the script, Dom's getting ready for a big race - Brian on the side - and has to give a thumb-print on a scanning pad before getting into the car. One of the female organizers, a hottie named Gisele, even asks for his number before he starts up the engine. So lots of 'Vin is soooo charming' gags in here.)

This 'Gisele' character pops up frequently…. She works for the bad guys, it seems.

The story looks like it has something to do with Dom - and Brian, no doubt undercover - helping a seedy crowd transport some goods (it doesn't say what it's in the goods - not what I read anyway - just that they were in 'large polymer cases') to an undisclosed location (everyone's car has been fitted with a GPS that'll guide them to the drop-off point). As soon as they leave their location, to evade the authorities, all the drivers have to put 'metallic car covers' over their rides so that choppers can't pick up their heat signals. The choppers zoom over head, but they can't seen anything but darkness. As soon as the choppers disappear, they're off and racing!

Other new characters, besides Gisele, in the film include a rogue named Fenix (who Dom doesn't seem to fond of) and a smart-*** named Dwight, who taunts Brian a bit.

Sounds like it's going to have some cool moments.

Like the first film, this sounds very "Point Break"…. But a bit of fun, too.

Sounds like its gonna be good

The original "The Fast and the Furious" was one of the best unintentional comedies I've ever seen.

Vin Dipship is one of the worst actors in Hollywood. He's up there with Aaahnold and Whoa-ano Reeves.

I hope this will still be a prequel with Han. and I wonder if they'll keep Mia or Letty getting killed?

Who cares they have all made great multi-million dollar movies

I'll give you that they've all made high grossing movies, but "great"?

*Edit- Then again, you have that homoerotic shipfest of a movie "300" in your avy.

I liked Han's character in Tokyo Drift. I really don't like Vin Diesel. I hope they bring back the chick from Tokyo Drift.

^ There was talks it was supposed to be a prequel and I believe the dude who played Han is signed

You must not have any taste in movies because The Matrix was one of the greatest movies of its time. It changed how many people did their action sequences. The Terminator 1/2 are also great movies that recieved a lot of good reviews and actually they're regarded as some of the best sci-fi thrillers of ourtime. And lastly The OG fast and the furious was also pretty good.

As for the homoerotic comment you must be insecure about your sexuality if you're uncomfortable watching a movie with men that are half naked.

It's a F&F movie, nuff' said. Logic and sense is thrown out the window for these movies. They can say Brian Spiller is suddenly a retiredastronaut out of the blue and there's nothing we'd be able to do, but that's what makes these movie entertaining

Are you serious? Who said that I was uncomfortable? I gave it a chance because I thought it had potential, but I was very disappointed. The reason Icall it homoerotic is because the gay cat in our office wouldn't shut up about it and pretty much viewed it as soft core porn.

By the way advancements in special effects alone, don't make a movie great. Just like big box office numbers don't make it great.

Most people are followers and want to see something because everyone else is doing it. They'll jump on any bandwagon if it's the "in thing"to do. So huge profits only mean that a lot of idiots wasted their time watching some boardroom conceived crap.

I've seen all of the movies that you've mentioned more than once (at home) and while they were entertaining, they weren't great.

tokyo drift to me was the best of the series. i hope there is a continuation of the tokyo drift story somewhere down the line, although han died

We'll agree to disagree then. I'm not going to have an e-battle with you on this one.

If you think that most people aren't followers, I'm not sure what to tell you. Perhaps, get out more.
