I dont think people really appreciated this game and what it did for the industry when it came out. I mean, people outside the core gaming community, I guess. Grand Theft Auto 3 changed the game and pretty much created a new genre. It opened the door for games like Vice City and San Andreas to see the light of day. GTA3 is one of my top 5 picks of all time.

And these games were just pure fun! Nothing more to it
