u shoulda said a shape up..which basically is the edge line of your hair.....a tape up is the lil fade in the back and sides...so u asked for the wrongthing...if your in ny and u need an ill barber come to all star barber shop 186th and st nick..you can get a shape up and get twisted at the same time ahahahah

Im growin my hair out right now too and its just about the length to get braided and have pretty good hang time...none of that skimp stuff in the back for me.But my barber has done this a couple times too, but I think he just does it to keep my fro even.
