OP is a troll, Philly fans are definitely a rambunctious group but people generalize every isolated incident like it speaks for the entire city or fan base...

I really need to stay out of this thread. It's only going to make me angry. Do we beat up opposing team fans after the game. Nope. Has a death of an opposing team fan ever occurred in our parking lots after a game? NOPE

no sporting event is worth fighting over. period. no1 should be attacked for repping the away team. having said that, for safety's sake, people need to realize that going to an opposing team's turf requires a bit of subtlety. people go way too hard over sports, and when drunk take it to dangerous levels.

so if u are an outsider, it would be foolish to be ignorant to that notion on the premise of "i paid to be here like everyone else". true, but that won't save you from a beating...

The threat of legal action and assault charges being pressed and/or me reporting them to security and gettig them kicked out the game will shut people up and put them in check. I'm there to enjoy a game, not be harassed by an obese alcoholic who thinks a plays for the team. If they act disrespectful, ill send a text to the fan hotline and wave them good by when security or police kick them out the stadium.

This type of **** will always be hilarious to me. Look, I love sports and consider myself a diehard fan of my teams, but these guys...

...at the end of the game, the losing team ain't fighting and spitting on each other. If you're a grown man wearing one of those guys' name on your back and you can't do the same and just let it go...well then u got some issues

I feel like your making assumptions. Someone touches me during the game I'm defending myself. Someone touches me in the parking lot, my ccl allows me to neutralize the threat.

I'm not there for that nonsense. If someone crosses the line, ill let security handle it. After the Brian stow incident at dodger stadium, stadiums have beefed up security and have cops on duty at games.

Like I said, I'm going to a few road games next season and I've gone to road games for teams I like in the past. Nothing has happened. If someone were to cross the line I would get the last laugh.

Alright. But how come you not posting the video about the dude who got killed outside the SF Giants game

It sounds as if you think your fanbase is just like every other. It's not. Of course there are confrontations at games, but not to the extent in Philly.

Nonsense happens at every stadium from time to time.

Some places. Philly, Oakland, Dodger fans etc have a track record and that's from excessive problematic behavior from those teams respective fanbases.

I'm sure fights and foolishness happen at a titans game but when it does its seen as more of a shock since it rarely happens. Philly on the other hand when it happens, people are moreso like "again" and aren't surprised at all.

It sounds like you are over generalizing and talking about something you have no idea about. Just stop.

Lots of laughs in an icu...how about being mature and not wilding out when your team wins, being respectful of your surroundings...

In Kc raiders fans get the worst of it...but they generally stay respectful because they know they are outnumbered.

Getting your family in a compromising position because if your ego would be selfish...go to the game, cheer on your team...don't talk **** to drunk people...you see jimmies getting overly rustled, chill. Idiots going to idiot, don't be a victim is all I'm saying...

Over generalizing? In what way? Something I know nothing about? I've been to countless sporting events in many different cities, and no fanbase acts like the do in Philly. Like I said, I've had LITTLE kids give me the finger, curse me out, and say **** as their parents are right next to them. Philly is a different breed.

Philly is the toughest/rowdiest city in America.

Not even close.

For the sake of some of your favorite rappers, I hope this out of town visitors psychology applies when dudes are plotting on shooting up and robbing each other throughout the country...but this kinda societal problem only happens with Philly sports fans is what I'm gathering...nowhere else or no other type of event..:lol

I wouldn't bring my fam to a road game but if I pay to go to a game I'm not going to sit in fear. These stadiums have a code of conduct and security and police roaming the stadium.

How is cheering for your team wilding out? Whats so egotistical about going to a sportjng arena and cheering for the team you like in a respectfil manner.

Every time I've gone to a game and seen a team I like on the road the fans were cool. If I were to get that one idiot out the bunch, it would be handled accordingly. I know how to defend myself very well but I would use self defense as the last resort when there's other ways to solve the problem.

Philly sports fans got a track record. Warranted or unwarranted

Certain stadiums and fanbases have it some don't.

Compton has a track record for crime and gang violence while Laguna beach doesn't.

The same crimes and gang violence are just as capable of happening in Laguna beach but they don't have the negative track record Compton has.

So wait..why wouldn't you take your family on a road game if your not worried about anything?

Maybe because you recognize the danger that going to these stadiums as an away fan entails? Or do your kids not deserve road games?

You didn't answer some of my questions. Its not a danger, its just the overall atmosphere at these games is no place for a small child. At least candlestick, Oakland, and those places aren't, home or road.

I don't know why I'm entertaining the faulty logic of someone who really believes that a kid being a law abiding citizen and staying out of jail is a huge accomplishment for a parent though.
