 So Nike only sells the shoe in NY then decides, hey lets have a wider release but only give an app to the people in NY... great.

I signed up for the waitlist immediately after they tweeted about it. I don't know how they determine who gets an access code from those users, but that's how I got in. If it counters resellers and gets shoes in the hands of legit customers I'm all for it.
