What's the green stuff on the right?

Do you think if I make reservations for 4 through Resy, then show up with 5, but the fifth person is a tween and I'm like, couldn't get a baby sitter, they would still seat us?

The number of reservations available for 4 vs 5 is a huge difference :(

Shouldn't be a big deal. Go in as you normally would, get seated...say the 5th person got sick or something. No biggie. Restaurant ain't gonna trip over missing one customer.

He's saying it the other way around. He's trying to get a table for 4 but has 5.

Most restaurants have 4 tops and 2 tops. Generally for a party more than 4, restaurants have to add extra tables to that 4 top, which depending on how popular the restaurant is, could cause an issue if they are jammed up.

Yeah if it was a toddler or infant I wouldn’t care and do it

But a tween/teenager is a whole person

I would try to actually call the restaurant, and give them that story. Don't just show up with 5.

I swear whenever I use Resy or Open Table, and get to the restaurant, I feel they barely ever reference the rez  .
