FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

First time eating at Dickey's Barbecue Pit. It was actually a ghost kitchen for their takeout/delivery. They have a restaurant but it was farther, the 2 for $25 meal was $5 more and didn't have burnt ends so I went here.
Not much smoke flavor. The pork burnt ends were dry, brisket less dry but the fatty pieces were good, rather get more fat than lean pieces. Ribs are okay. Seasoning on the meats are tame. That's where the sauce comes in, got Carolina and Dr Pepper sauce. Not a fan of both, I like a sweeter sauce.
Sides were basic, I like the onion strings.
I give them 4 out of 8

This the only spot I been where they didn't even hide that the took a bag of ribs out the fridge and pop it in the microwave. Terrible establishment.

Good BBQ is hard to come by

Even in the South it's not as common as you would think

Maybe TX is different

Yeah have patience and empathy, and sometimes make concessions to appease them, doesn't mean they were right.

do they still preach this?
i thought it was just a joke nowadays

Just treat ppl the way you'd want to be treated. Can't understand why that's so hard for some.

I once saw a McD's employee throw a large coke at someone inside their car at a drive thru. Dude was screaming about extra sauce and the employee straight up opened the window, threw the coke at him, and then closed the window back up:rofl:. Dude got out the car banging on the window. Then he tried to get inside but the door was locked (closed). He just took the L and left after that, likely drunk. I pulled up next and was real glad I didn't order any nuggets:lol:

nah, some bull**** companies put out decades ago at the expense of their own employees

It’s actually a misquote which has been passed down the generations - the whole quote is “The customer is always right, in matters of taste.”

That’s obviously got nothing to do with unrealistic expectations - just that if they want to order a bright blue suit when you were suggesting navy then they are free to make that decision.

It’s been turned into the nonsense which has created a lot of Karens.

I’m having a hard time determining who you’re siding with here. Who, in your opinion, is in the wrong? I come in peace.
