Wanted to head to Katz to get some pastrami earlier but was too lazy to play parking games downtown. Copped a 5 lb corned beef brisket to cook instead got about 3 hours before it's ready.

I swear my mom got a can of old bay that's at least 5 years old. That **** and BBQ sauce last forever.

my crab eating preference does not reflect where I am from lol

Everyone in Charleston puts seasoning on crabs.
All places that sell crab sell homemade old bey type seasoning or the stuff found in stores

Do you live in Charleston?

I need to get down there at some point. Heard it's a good time.

I think sprinkling old bay all over the crabs is nonsense. Just an overpowering pile of saltiness.

My folks live down there and i grew up thete. Definitely a good time.
Good food.

I never see it sprinkled on crabs, just cooked in it.

Pre vs. Post.

But I am sure some do it.

I've seen pre and post.
I saw a show on food network where they were at a crab place in Baltimore and the guy said the way the old bey really seasons the crab is thru your hands. You touch the crab then the meat and everything kind of messes together.
