Foot pain - Nike Free Run+ 3 Sensor

I just purchased a pair of nike free run+ 3 (http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,pdp,ctr-inline/cid-1/pid-450897/pgid-450899) and the spot where the Nike+ sensor goes is killing the arch of my foot.  I don't have the sensor installed - there is just the foam stub in there, but even if I take it out, still hurts after a few hours of walking on it.

Has anyone else ever experienced this??  I did a lot of searching and couldn't find a similar thread, I'm wondering if maybe I got a defected pair.

It could just be your foot considering the sensor is more so in the middle on your foot. I also pop out the plastic panel that holds the sensor.
