So what? Is there a new website for new grads to get a job?
It's a program for kids who are struggling.

Quick facts:

-1 year intense training in finance and computing

-All you need is a highschool diploma, or GED

-Placement into fortune 500 companies

-Some grads were out on the street or working minimum wage jobs but are now working for companies like Facebook, American Express etc

-Aplication instructions are on the website posted above it's called 'YEAR UP'

I was in this program about two years ago, it was a solid opportunity.
unfortunately I fired myself from it because of tardiness. sucks cause I had perfect grades. :smh:
if only I'd had my own wheels back then, oh well.

Solid program, if you qualify apply and go in ready to make the most of your experience. I would've loved to have had this when I was younger.

I feel like they learn more in a year than I learned during my entire 4 year computer science degree program.

my friend did this and i can attest that it is a great opportunity. unfortunately he wasn't in it for the right reasons and squandered the fortune 500 internship + valuable mentor he acquired through the program. he also received a bi-weekly check of a couple hundred while in year up, too. i'd recommend it for anyone who feels stuck post-high school.

I just applied to it now, thank you for posting this.

One question, though: what if I was a terrible student in high school?
