FUNKO POP! VINYL THREAD (FUNTKO FACTION) STRANGER THINGS HAVE HAPPENED...

More interested in why you bought a case full!? LOL!
Not hating or knocking a well thought out plan, I like discussing collecting/value strategy....

LOL dude you've seen the prices on old rangers. White ranger is going for ridiculous money. I figure get ahead of the game. Tommy has always been the popular one. I'm gonna throw these in the closet and forget about em. 1 year or 2 later dust em off see what's Gucci :smokin im actually gonna go ahead and cop another case of green and a case of each of the rest later. I already got a case of the metallic blues on preorder and I know those are already going for more.

Plus with the movie coming out next year you know there will be movie versions. Granted POP game isn't what it was when the first 3 dropped but it's good to plan ahead. In 2 years it's the 25th anniversary of the original show so who knows how much they'll be going for. So long as Funko halts production haha. It's like the shoe game except less overhead. Either way if they don't reach the first 3 type money I'll still profit *shrug*

:eek :hat
Where did you cop yours?

Frank & sons. Gotta love the $10 flat no tax price each.

Also Smugglers Bounty box was boo-tay. Glad i passed. However if anyone does get it and don't want the patch and pin holla.

Also still looking for patch and pin from bounty hunters box, Deadpool box and GOTG box.

I get it, set it and forget it! Lol! Your strategy seems sound so it's just a waiting game to see I suppose. The previous 3 Rangers were super common when released so it's just a matter of time assuming Funko stops producing them at some point in time. Just better hope these don't go the route of the main Horror figures where they've been produced for nearly a decade long! Lol!

I just preordered 6 Space Cadets and ordered 6 Duck Dodgers from GameStop.com in hopes I can catch a damn Chase. Fingers crossed I get the same luck I had with the Alien.

Lol dude i did the exact same thing :lol I feel we might get hosed on the Duck Dodgers. All the chases seem to be going to stores. I fear they'll fulfill orders from the store stock even though they said available from their warehouse. Hopefully space cadet comes thru

Picked up my Hot Topic order in store, grabbed Bronn, old Luke, old Han, unmasked Kylo, Burgersuit Gene, then Teddy from Bob's Burgers for my brother. And of course, I had to get the Bespin Luke since they had it in store.

Holding out for a Metallic Green Ranger it's bound to happen

When to hot topic they didn't put out the con exclusives early only the Luke so I'll be picking up my order on Thrusday 8o

Just came back from picking up my Bret Hart at GameStop and while talking to the employee he said everyone been asking about he False God super man smh.

I think you're sort of going about it all wrong with the power rangers. (or any commons) right now funko is at their pinnacle. so not only is this probably the highest we'll see them in popularity (til they start/decide to have new molds than the basic standing in one place. making pops more interesting like the mystery mini's) but they are able to meet the demand with their product as of right now. power rangers and ninja turtles are with in the same popularity if you ask me and I saw turtles at my Wegmans.
I just dont see paying 70 for a case of 6 making sense just to hold on to for 2 years (you'll need atleast 2 for any type of good profit)
a long with the movie coming next year. they'll keep pumping out production of the rangers.
The original 3 only made the spike in price that they did simply because people wanted to complete their sets after hearing about the others coming out. (and honestly they havent even went up that much. only the white rangers. I just dont personally see the commons getting much higher than 25 with in a year. i mean you'll make your money back but i doubt they will ever get to the 100 range you're possibly hoping for.

(ofcourse it's your money and your plan so I know i can't deter you)

the only thing that may help is the fact that Jason David Frank is literally at every damn con every month and can do signings.

other than that it's not a great investment IMO.

only exclusives/ chases are imo because thats stuff you cant get from just any store.

$60 for a case/$10 each.

I see what you're saying and don't knock it however here's my rebuttal. You can never know how the market will go especially with these type of products.

I did say back when the original rangers came out funko was nowhere near hyped as it is now so I know that maybe the prices for these pops might not reach the first 3 I do believe they'll go up.

Point 1 - think of ALL the licenses that Funko has coming up. People will move on to the next hot item while salivating for the next hot item. These will fade from memory. Orders will dwindle then these will cease production sooner than later. Also a lot of shipments have been delayed because funko can't meet orders so that already points to limited stock.

Point 2 - unless these go the route of Horror pops which don't end, once they become scarce in roughly 2 years, value will go up. Especially if there's big hoopla about MMPR 25th anniversary and funko doesn't produce anymore.

Point 3 - yes the movie coming out will keep them popular but unless they have some sort of funky license issue like they do with XMen I'm sure they'll make movie variant versions

I'm definitely not looking to make booku Bucks however I do think these will appreciate in value. Will they reach current ranger levels maybe not but I doubt they will remain in the $10-20 range.

That's just my opinion. $60 ain't a thing when I used to drop a lot more on that trying to flip kicks. I figure I'll get my money back plus some when I find them in a year or so.

Went to a couple Walgreens to see if I could find Venom. Online it says all of them had some in stock, but when I got there, nada. :{

Venom is just the picture they use for Marvel Assortment. He's been out of stock for a while. That in stock message can be for a variety of Marvel pops now.

The walgreens stock locator with venom as it's main pic is for all marvel pops . They're all under the same umbrella

I keep hearing that there will be plenty of that SSGSSG Goku to go around, so let's hope [emoji]128064[/emoji]
