my only complaints is when I resize my window.. the columns don't automatically adjust. I have to refresh

Mine do. What browser are you using?  I use Chrome.
I didn't like it at first, but once I switched from Cozy to Compact, it was all good.

just choose "condensed"

I switched to it as soon as I saw the option a few months ago. Got used to it in no time.
