GOAT APP legit?

dblplay1212 dblplay1212 I just recently started using stockx. They actually charge 9.5% & $13.99 for shipping.. the 3% is actually PayPal's fee that they are pre-calculating. They automatically cash you out on PayPal whereas Goat gives you the option to spend the money on their site, which wouldn't ever go through PayPal.

Also, it takes time to be approved on Goat. Some people have said they sped up the process by contacting them. You can sell as soon as you setup your profile on stockx.

Oh, one other notable mention. Goat seems to be better for the seller since the prices stay pretty consistent. On stockx there are usually people trying to under cut eachother on the prices.
Do they sell fakes?
Goat also charges new sellers the 3% cash out fee but they don't quote it upfront like stock x does.

I appreciate that. So with both charging3% to cash out, it's really just $5 for Goat vs $14 for StockX. Minimal difference for someone like me that's not going to sell a ton of items. Using StockX and not having to mess with pics is probably the way I'll go if bids are similar.

Yea I requested to sell on Goat back in December and never heard anything. I message them on there yesterday and they replied quickly. They asked for pics of a few shoes that I plan to sell. I sent those this morning and they approved me within 30 minutes.

I've never sold on Goat or StockX but I have some shoes piling up that I bought and have never worn. Need to move some of them. From what I can tell, both charge a 9.5% commission. From there, the main differences are:

- StockX charges 3.5% and $13.5
- Goat charges $5 flat fee

- StockX requires no pics before selling a shoe
- Goat requires 7 pics before selling each pair

Am I missing anything? If that's it it seems like Goat gives a better profit but StockX is easier bc you don't have to take and upload pics.
You're a reseller? That's good :rollin :rollin :rollin

Been a while since I last cashed out, does it tell you right away they will take out the fees or after you complete the cash out? I remember seeing something a while ago about not being charged any fee but I don't know if I'm still eligible. Nothing comes up when I go to cash out. Says the full amount will be transferred right before the submit.

No, I have some shoes like Concepts x Adidas Heist Pack and the AJ11 low gold that I've just never worn. I doubt I even get my money back out of them but they are collecting dust. I'm not the guy that's checking prices on StockX while he's in line to buy a shoe.

Still a reseller whether you want to admit it or not........

Wanna fight?

Why you in NYC?

Lmk when yall set this up ill be the commissioner if wages are set up :lol

Overall, I started using GOAT because of the simplicity and user-friendly app. With StockX, there's too much going on in the background but thats just me. GOAT gives you increments of $5 when you adjust a price and StockX does it less than that I believe.

Is the 7 picture thing a pain in the ***?

To me, not at all I think this should be standard. Also, i think they should give you the option to add more pics to list any defects such as glue stains and a damaged part of the box because this obviously has become an issue on their side when they legit check (idiots imo).

But if you have an iPhone it'll be easier to take pics because it's more iPhone friendly versus Android. I just use my girls iPhone. Quality on pics for android phones is kinda poor when it comes to GOAT, but still eligible.

Hell yea that 7 pic thing super annoying, trying to get to 150 asap so I don't gotta do that anymore

You can create a listing and mark the shoe as having imperfections/defects. It will go to a separate listing page for the shoe with options to upload pictures of the shoe and any issues.

Feel the same way. Sure it's an added step, but it's not hard just tedious.

I still prefer GOAT over StockX. The simplicity and ease of use is way better. With that said, you should sell on whatever gets you the most return and you feel the most comfortable with.

Dang you're on a role...wth have you been selling? Adidas huh... I'm at 108 and have a very long way to go

Now I know I'm lazy, but taking 7 pictures isn't a big deal.
You're right. It only came up bc I just got approved by Goat this morning. I haven't listed anything on there yet. I'd like to go ahead and off a few things now but I'm in my office for the next few hours. I can sell on StockX right now but not on Goat. Not a huge deal though. I'll take pics tonight. After uploading pics, how long does it take for them to accept the listing so I can accept an offer?
