Because they are alive, they must be preserved. Refridgeration is an easy method but just because its not doesn't disqualify it as a quality probiotic. There are different, sometimes proprietary methods companies take to ensure preservation. I know one company does something called flash freezing.Why do some people like their probiotics refrigerated?
I only consider probs that at least speak to probiotics arriving alive and if it requires refrigeration. If it doesn't require refridgeration, it must tell me why. What methods have been taken to ensure the living cultures are sustained. If it doesnt tell me why/how come, then I wont trust it. Also you want to see something regarding the probs surviving the gut. Has to at least make the claim it does, or be on time release. Had one that said 60% survive. I just appreciate the honest and fowardness. Im more likely to trust it than one that doesnt address that area.
