NT, i Found a pretty good deal on a Macbook Pro. It almost sounds too good to be true, but sometimes people are just down on their luck, or don't have any need for the product anymore.
So is there a place where i can make sure it is not stolen or fake. i dont plan on keeping it so it just seems like a deal where I can sell for under retail and make a couple hundred bucks. AND I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH BUYING OR SELLING "HOT" MERCHANDISE, OR UNAUTHENTIC MERCHANDISE.  It is a 13 in, 4gb BNIB.  Can any detectives help me out?? I know NT knows alot about preventing Scams.

You can take it to an Apple Store.

If the person who is selling it is legit, they should have no problem with meeting you at an apple store and having the product inspected there.

I understand what you are saying man, But I dont want to sell someone a stolen product. I wouldn't want something to happen to their money, or for it to come back on me. I Pride myself in being legit and Authentic.

Type that serial number into apple.com
If the mac isn't registered with apple
then most likely you are buying a "hot" product.
do you have a link for this?
https://selfsolve.apple.c...eementWarrantyDynamic.do

This is the only sure way imo to see if the mac is stolen.
I mean who doesn't register their $1500+ comp?

its a brand new comp. I dont think it is registered till its open right??? It is also showing up on their website when I run the serial number too. I think its a legit deal, just a few hundred under retail.
I think i might hop on it
