I really hope this is contained or mitigated as soon as possible. But the reality is there are probably a few hundred/ a thousand people that unknowingly have it and will develop symptoms and spreading at this moment. The lack of preparation and lackadaisical attitude on all accounts is rearing it’s ugly head. Be safe and be well everyone!

So surreal to have been following the thread in the early days - what seems like months ago but just a few weeks actually for me - and seeing how its hit the US.

its along the lines of what we thought tho. its not that it JUSt got here . Its just finally been diagnosed.

from what I can tell - its rrally just problematic for the older crowd .

Cruise ships in general are an an atrocity ... the effect on the environment to give buncha folks the feeling of a metropolis on the water is unimaginable.
I always saw it as an L , never wanted to go kn one. Plus the cultural and social impact on nations that it visits . Creating a economy based on servitude and exploitation.

In regards to covid-19. Whats the timetable for vaccination?Many conflicting reports about when and how to solve this spread. Will warmer temps really help?

Heard it's gonna be just as worse, maybe even worse this summer in the northeast because we've had a really mild/dry winter. Which probably means we're in for another humid and rainy summer and the mosquitoes are gonna flourish.

If mosquitoes carried covid19 and its transferrable to us, r.i.p.

US Navy sailor in Italy tests positive for coronavirus

(CNN)A US Navy sailor stationed in Naples, Italy, has tested positive for coronavirus, marking the first positive case for a US servicemember stationed in Europe, according to a statement from US European Command and US Naval Forces Europe-Africa.
The servicemember, stationed at a naval support facility in Naples, tested positive Friday and is currently restricted to their residence, according to the statement, receiving medical and other support in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Italian guidelines.
Authorities said health professionals from the US military are conducting what they call "a thorough contact investigation" to determine if any other personnel may have been exposed. They say depending on the results other precautionary measures may be taken.
The statement said personnel that the servicemember came in close contact with have already been notified and are in self-isolation at their residences.
