i think it is probably 60/40 where the side doesn't know they are the side until after they been messing around for minute, only reason more women don't get caught is side dudes are more willing to play their part



often times, from the guy's perspective anyways, there isn't anything to fix... i think it is why those dudes snap; they don't even see it until the hindsight kicks in which probably increase the rage

long term monogamy isn't completely natural & the evolution of culture has removed much of the stigma around failed relationship while simultaneously increasing the access to other potential mates, such that there is less drive to work stuff out... it would definitely be smart to have to renewals for marriages given have of them split in less than a decade

does anyone ever really leave the market tho? it is most likely true that most settle but aren’t 1st choice (or best choice?) dependent of opportunity & circumstance?

i tend to think it isn’t all that relevant whether or not someone settled, people & preferences still can change & that ‘is the grass greener’ curiosity gets people too; the idiom of a ‘seven year itch’ would seem to be more or less true given the average length of marriage

true, it isn’t just a wandering eye ting…i think there is a confluence/bunch of things that make monogamy more or less appealing when it comes to each gender both individually & societally; that humans are monogam-ish allows for a bunch of ways relationships can play out especially as context, culture, & environment change.
