Home Buying & Real Estate Thread

Its a lot of dudes "balling" legitimately nowadays without family money and drugs. At the same time its a lot of frauds and facades out there as well. You already know...

nah fam

I know ppl have money, my state has Billionaires (them dudes don't collect sneakers either though)..........I know a dude from hometown on the 30 under 30 on the Forbes list I posted it on NT before. We were actually church family growing up....

but

Bay Area is ridiculous.................how many people on this forum make 150k a year or more??? Not many.

But yea I agree with you on the part I put bold. For all the legal people, there are illegal folks an I know both sides.

Yeah I don't see him listing it at that price unless his agent thinks they can get close to it then again you can still build a brand new house in our subdivision for about what he's asking so I don't know.

He won't get it. Unless the options are exactly what someone wants. If they are still building in the neighborhood it is really hard to sell. A guy in my neighborhood tried to sell for 30K less and couldn't sell (smaller home than ones currently being built) he ended up foreclosing.

Its hard out here fam. Im making a little over 100k a year since im single im getting taxed up the *** im barely getting by alone. Need to find a nurse to marry

U got no choice but to live with your folks or 2 room mates if your making under 40k

You aint lying about taxes. I'm okay with the government taking 30% of my pay but when it's about 40% its like why am I working ?

Def fam. Your right about the Bay area too. I couldnt do it out there

Cant even hate on people staying with their parents. As long as they help out and stack up. Its the smart thing to do out here.

I know older folks going into their 40s still there, basically waiting to inherit the house [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji].

What a time to be alive..

Congrats. Where are you located?

Looks like Arizona or Vegas.

I wouldn't give my kid the house for free. I worked my *** off for it. I'd sell it to him at a discount and have him pay me so he doesn't have to pay interest or sell it and give him a good chunk to buy his first home.

Lol and cats wonder why they end up in nursing homes smh

People in the Bay who make $80k+ have roommates. If you want to live alone, you're looking anywhere from $2300-2800 for a studio. A lot of Millenials will share a 3 bd which runs $5-6k.

$600K will maybe get you a 2/1 1200sq ft fixer. You would need to redo the whole house(prob another $100-150K). And that's in an "up and coming neighborhood". A friend of mine just sold her place that's maybe a half mile from Golden Gate Park. It was maybe a 2/2 1300 sq ft. She was asking $1.49 and it sold for $1.8.
some please tell me this is an exaggeration

Real estate is by far the fastest way for a person that does not come from wealth to acquire wealth and positive net worth.

I think its nuts to live anywhere in America were you have to live with your parents until you are 30+ to buy a home.

Savings my ***.

My folks don't plan on stayng in the US after retirement (they weren't born here). Chances are they'll just sell the house. And spread the love.

This man knows! :smokin
I'm pretty sure selling drugs would get me there faster.

@DLee23 congrats bro
All the salaries are inflated in Nor cal, so it depends where in Cali you're talking. As a RN I started making 32.80$/hr at my first job (I'm in Southern Cali) . My friend who graduated with me is in Nor Cal and makes 62$/hr working at Stanford hospital.
