I'm in the minority, but I hope root sports doesn't get the channel. I hear all they do is pregame, the game, and post game shows, and maybe a weekly team show. CSNH has really good programming throughout the week and a lot of in depth coverage of the local teams. Not to mention, root would come in and probably let go half the working staff at CSNH. best case scenario would be to just make it available to everyone, which I'm not sure why Comcast would be opposed to at this point
1. The sale to AT&T/Direct TV is basically done. The issue is one of evaluation. When all the court crap is over it will be Root Sports.
2. All of the CSN employees have been let go and today is their last day, except Bart Ennis and Kevin Eschenfielder who were retained.
Blame here goes to the Rockets and Astros. They overvalued their product and no one wanted to carry it. In doing so, they pissed off a lot of fans and created instability for the CSN workers.
Greed did them in.
