I don't think I could stomach a 14 game losing streak. Whole fan base might flip out.
I think it has to happen if we want changes next season.

I can't school you on Bridgewater, but i haven't been impressed when I've seen him play. For someone with so much hype surrounding him, i was expecting a lot more.Somebody school me on Bridgewater, I know nothing about him. As far as Clowney not fitting the scheme, he may not have to fit it if Phillips isn't there. I don't know what his contract is like, but if this streak lasts 14 games, they may get rid of EVERYBODY
We be a fool to pass on him if he's there.teddy is pretty legit.
Did Ben Tate lose his spot to Dennis Johnson? That bum needa take his wishy washy *** outta H town
Nah, though Tate has been toughing it out with the broken ribs, he still has broken ribs, and it's painfully easy to tell he's laboring, which has rendered him pretty ineffective. Loved what I saw from DJohnson though. You can tell he has worked on his fumbling issues.
Also, seems like starting with the Raiders game, Kub has slowly turned Keenum into mini-Schaub. I know he's been getting blitzed more, but it seems like the play calling has been reduced to nothing as well. Nice sabotage to me.
Agreed on QB. Oline, dline & LBs for me.Taking clowney first would be crazy. The NFL is an offensive league now, an all world D -end isn't what is was 5 or even 3 years ago.
Gotta take a QB with #1 pick, cut schaub and Yates, pick up help on O-line, RB, and D later in the draft in that order.

So you don't feel like we need a QB or Bridgewater isn't good for us? If so then why.drafting a QB would be a waste, unless it's a legit franchise QB. I would need a HUGE scouting effort to draft a QB so high this year as a Texan. Even then, sorta suspect pick for the Texans. If Kubiak is still there and the play calling is the same, a new QB isn't going to do a whole bunch for the team.
They need a TACKLE (Jake Reed A&M?). We might have one of the best LT in the game, but that's countered with one of the worst RT in the game.
We need LBs, CBs, safeties also.
I'd get a good scout on Barr from UCLA and Clowney and probably choose between the two. Leaning towards Barr b/c of need, but not willing to pass up on Clowney if everything is off the charts.
Jon Joseph should be a #2 CB on our team, but doubt you'll particularly see a #1 option come out of this draft (that's actually on radar)

I mean we have the worst record in the league for a reason.
I haven't particularly seen franchise stellar out of him. but taking me out of the equation, what I'm saying is I would need to have scouted these quarterbacks all extremely heavily and I would have to get a consensus "FRANCHISE QB" tag from all involved in the scouting effort. I'd need someone we would think is going to absolutely be a top 10ish QB in the league. Maybe even better at the #1-3 pick spot.
QB play isn't the reason our record is the worst. We have a lot of things to address personnel wise and even including general scheme/playcalling. While Matt Schaub's pick 6's were pretty dynamically game changing, Case isn't particularly losing us games. He is a sustainable QB while we address other major concerns on our team. and maybe hope for a QB in a later draft or maybe trade down and get a steal later in the draft or next year.
