How Do You Change Your Mac Icons?

I'm running 10.4.11. I'm going to update soon, but in meantime, I wanna customize some dock icons...I'vedone all except the iTunes one.

I have the icon I want, and it's in icns format. I click "get info" on iTunes and I do the same for theicon in question. I copy the icon in it's respective "get info" screen and paste it to the iTunes icon. It pastes the generic icns documentpicture instead of the actual icon.

Do any of you Mac geniuses know what I'm doing wrong? Anyone?

Maybe that file is corrupt. I would try PNG.

I had the same problem with Ical, the new icon would appear in my App folder but when I would put it in the dock, it went back to it's original.

Try deleting it from the dock and dragging it again from your app folder.
