How was the early 2000s?

Early 2000's was a cd hustlers paradise. Morpheus, Kazaa, Limewire and a CD burner had you work.

Fake long platinum chains, cornrows and headbands.

I was in elementary school but life was a lot simpler.

House phones were still the standard so you had watch what you say if parents picked up.

My mom worked at Verizon so we always had the latest cell phones / pagers. I was the only PERSON with a cell phone at my HS graduation out of a 1000 graduates.

Everyone wanted to use ithe LOL

Man i used to love them hood rat girls wit the name belt buckles.

Meetin up wit chicks at the roller ring.

The fugazi diamond watches.

Gettin to school over an hour early to play football....wit a plastic bag covering your kicks.

Early 2000s was a dope era

I was in middle school around the time where people my age started to have cellphones

Nothing but Dipset, G-unit and Fab in my stereo/walkman

Jordans were hyped but were still easy to cop

Girls didn't do too much to enhance their physical appearance

Music videos and BET uncut :lol

Going to the movies every Friday was a routine

Do you remember kids hustling off their parents' CD burners?

This kid made serious cake asking for a list of 10 tracks written on looseleaf paper and $5. He fired up KaZaa and pumped these things out. I remember ordering one full of Beastie Boys and Tupac.

My best friend made some major money hustling CDs in 2001-02 (our senior year). Walked around with $1k in his pockets at least :{ :x

The early 00s was the last of the memorable years. I remember spending hours upon hours playing Sega Dreamcast, talking to thots on Yahoo and AOL instant messenger, and my never ending quest to get a fresh Mitchell and Ness throwback :smokin

that time was the perfect balance between technology and interpersonal contact and relationships.
Yea back in the days where it was embarrassing to say you met girls off the "computer."

Good old Black planet days man

There was more human interaction.

Peoples heads weren't stuck in a phone.

Public transportation was wild fun.

Calling girls at home and hanging up cause her parents answered.

Kids played outside.

Good times.

Class of 03 here. I miss these days man.

Getting all the chicks cuz my hair was long and all the girls wanted to braid it.
Free size tees
Getting clowned if you rocked replica jerseys. Swingmans just came out but you weren't 100% safe with them either.
Almost everything was sports related.
Watching And1 and streetball tapes and going outside and trying the moves .
Air Forces, Jordans, Bo Jacksons
Fake site's started to pop up. Everyone went crazy for the red/white/blue 11's cuz Fab had em. Then later found out they were fakes.
Pinwheel fitteds, headbands, baseball socks, Dickies, Rocawear, Sean John, Avirex, Iceberg, Moschino, Coogi
Everyone had a silver chain with cubics in it but swore it was white gold and diamonds.
Lyrics mattered in rap.
Rocafella, D-Block, Dipset, G-Unit, Ruff Ryders, Cash Money.
Having your own line in the crib and a colorful pager with voicemail. Upgrading to the Nokia phone and playing snake in class. (Never got a 2 way lol)
N64 and PS1/2. The N64 battles used to be intense. "Yo bring your controller"
ALL THE OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES!!!!
I swear these kids don't go outside anymore yo. We used to do everything. Ball, bikes, water gun/balloon fights, Nerf Wars, or just roam the streets no less than 4 deep, talking about we bored.

Ard I think I'm done lol.

Online console gaming wasn't that big yet and you'd go to your friends house to play Halo. Counter Strike was my fave game. Also raving and dropping ecstasy was big.
