How was the early 2000s?

The very first color of r4s are classic imho.

The shox thing just got over saturated with other brands copying them.

Vcs and stunners are dope too

Didn't LRG and FuBu Platinum came out around that time?

I jumped off the porch in 97-98...aka Soulja Era in New Orleans.

Im 18 and during the early 2000s I was around 6, so I was aware of how **** was but now when I hear about back then, I hear it was smooth as hell and way more different than time now. So, how was it different than this era in terms of lifestyle, music, parties hangin with people etc.

Edit: And don't post obvious **** like oversized jerseys. I can just watch some old Fab video and see that ****. Explain how the vibe was how life is different, songs that make you remember something from back then etc.

I've been on Nike Talk since approx. the 10th Grade (circa 2000) and stumbled across this site. Not trying to the the older guy being all nostalgistic, but it truly was a different era back then.

I'm so glad to have not grown up in the Facebook/Social Media era. I loved NT and the anonymous nature in which it allowed people to connect/share ideas/opions/thoughts in an unfiltered manner.

The VA sound was heavy....Timbaland, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Pharell, Missy, the Clipse....

Tupac passing and then Biggie as well in the late 90's

The Shiny Suit Era of Hip-Hop into the Cash Money Bling Bling Era

Jordans used to come out on Wednesday and then moved to Saturdays due to school skipping. Classic "heat" (as they call it now) used to sit on shelves and get marked down to $39.99 (Laney Vs, AF 1 Jewel, Jordan XIV, Jordan XV and Jordan XVI).

I have stories for days.......about NT and life on/off this site.

Cheers.

Damn, makes me feel old as hell...

Class of 2000

Kind of the time before technology boomed and took over our lives.

Parties were wild, and it was all word of mouth. Talking to girls was actually talking to girls, communication was done via land line. Going on the internet was done via land line (

). Gas was cheaper.

Just different, we have more information now than we know what to do with.
This.

Having the courage to walk up and talk to a cute girl... to her face... you would win some and lose some... different than now.

You had to have phone game once you got her number too. Plus remember calling the house and her mom or dad answering. LOL

Nobody had their faces glued to a phone screen.

Big Pimpin playing.

Rocking Polo Sport and Pleasures cologne. All the fine girls wore Happy and Romance.

Yeah man...there was no "poking" or "snapping" a fine chick in class. You had to walk up in front of everyone or catch her by the lockers on the solo tip to get that face time. House Phones and talking to her parents......LOL!

Never heard of DimesOnly. I remember how Crushspot was mostly people from Michigan. That forum section was crazy especially when people started getting exposed.

The first commercial came out around 2002 with the Jordan 16's dropped. And the second commercial dropped late 1999 after Jordan's second retirement.
