Welcome to the Philippine NT forum!

Yes, most schools here in the Philippines use English as the primary language for teaching.

If I'm not mistaken, the Philippines is one of the best in English proficiency not only in Asia, but in the whole world.

^Co-sign to that.

You'll be surprised to know that not only your company outsources its call center in the Philippines, ther are truckloads of them!
And yes, multi-million dollar US companies.

As someone who used to work in the BPO industry here in the Philippines, I would have to agree that we are very fortunate to be more exposed and well-versed to the english language than most of our asian counterparts. Aside from our proficiency with the language, other reasons why our country is chosen as an outsourcing hub are:

Lower labor costs compared to other countries
More hardworking workforce compared to other countries
Friendlier and more hospitable attitude towards customers which is perfect for the customer service industry
