I've spent 78 cents before I was pratically out of gas and that's all I had on mr. The cashier was nice enough to give a dollar out of her pocket.

I hope it's because their car was on fumes and thats all they had on em and they were trying to make it home. If it was to get from home to their destination

it's half a mile or less, why not walk your lazy and/or fat !+# there?

This happened to me a few times. Basically, when I first got my last car I didn't know that you have to tilt the nozzle at a certain angle to get it to pump (the only car I've owned that you have to insert then tilt forward). When I held it down I heard the handle "pop" and there was no tension, like  tank was full or whatever. I tried the same pump like 3 times and racked up like 18 cents and then I moved on to the next one. The same thing happened, so I thought they were out of gas, and I went to a different gas station. By the time I figured it out I had like 4 charges on my debit card all for under 50 cents
