I'm not advocating suicide here
Any gambler who loses at a casino will consider it an addiction, once they win that sentiment goes away
Like I said earlier, if OP hit 100 stacks this thread wouldn't be about no addiction but rather a casino appreciation thread

You're making assumptions about me while knowing very little. I am not addicted to anything, I have good self Control and discipline. I've been to casinos with a grand in ny pocket before and didn't gamble a penny cuz I told myself no. Stayed there all day actuallyAddiction doesnt revolve around wins and losses. You can win money and still be addicted. Obviously when you loose the negative consequences are more apparent, just because you happen to be avoiding them at any given moment doesnt mean ur not addicted. And you pretty much exposed yourself and your own gambling addiction. If you could comprehend why OP needs to quit it would force you to look at your own situation. Which you arent willing to do. Its called projecting.
That rush you get from gambling, its neuro chemicals being activated in your brain. They form a pathway in your brain based around associated activities and addiction triggers. The brain is designed to be motivated to perform the actions that supply this pathway. Its how we learn to eat, have sex and generally do things that lead to us feeling good and being well off. That gambling rush is litterally programming your brain to keep repeating the same actions that lead to that rush. Its like walking across a grass field, if you keep walking the same path eventually there will be a dirt path. Then its always gonna be easier to walk on the path and the path only gets bigger and deeper and becomes more distinct as the proper route across the field. Once the path is there the only way to get rid of it is to stop walking on it.
it was a generalizationYou talk to every gambler in the world?
if u want to be a dealer expect to start off on the graveyard shift. 8p-4a 10-6 r 12-8. most casinos will schedule you on friday saturdays since those r obviously the busy days. holidays r blackout days for most also. i work at a cardroom where you keep your own tips so its not too bad plus a 30 min break every hour-1.5For all the dealers out there, how's the work schedule. I know y'all work 8-10 hour shifts and all that. I'd be down for a 12-8 or something but not tryna work them crazy late/weekend shifts. Also dont want to work holidays. I really want to be a floor manager or pit boss, but you gotta work your way up and all that.
yesDid your mind tell you to buy those shorts tho
Wait, hold up hold up hold up....you have an addiction to gambling and you now want to get a job at a casino.
Losing 10K in 1 month is serious, just cut it out completely. I was sick and I lost $160
at Live a few days ago.
Just leave the casino alone man. You can tell people's maturity level in here encouraging you to keep going.
I'll just leave it at that. Of course an addict is gonna say" You know what I was overreacting, my addiction isn't that bad."
play baccarat then, the game is 50/50I like to play blackjack too but Ive learned to stay away. For me, whats kept gambling from becoming a problem was 2 things. 1st, i work extremely hard for my money. Nothing is given to me and Ive worked a long time to make it to where Im at financially. That $ goes so fast in the casino, its sickening. I have a family to support, i have too many resposibilities. For OP and guys like him, i wonder where they get their money from... if its mommy and daddy or what.
The 2nd thing that helped make sure i never had a gambling problem was that the thrill of the win is not strong. But the pain of losing is sickening. So of I'm winning, its fun, but not THAT exciting. Its more like "damn f'ing time, shoulda been up more if the cards werent so bad".
I guess the 3rd thing that keeps me away from blackjack is that I play by the book, I know exactly how to play, and the house odds are still too good for my blood. Tbh, if playing by the book resulted in winning more, yeah Id probably play more. I just cant stand how fast the money goes. With all that said, i still enjoy it on occasion, but i may play 1-2x a year and be happy. Lose 300-500 and call it quits.

how I operate with money is I spend it. Either to flip it or to buy stuff for myself. Your definition of normal and mine are two different things. Like i said earlier there are people who bet 20000 a hand and probably even more. The judging of other people here ain't necessary, and the first step is admitting your problem of not minding your own business. I suggest OP should continue to gamble, but maybe in moderation if he feels like it. If he wants to go ten grand strong in the casino and spend it in 15 minutes that's his perogative, that's how we do sometimesYeah idk anything about you but your comments in here are very revealing. A normal person doesnt need to use self control or discipline when they are in the casinolol. I have racks at my disposal everytime im in the casino, not once have i ever felt i needed discipline or self control not to blow it all. The fact you need to control yourself in order to not take bets that are clearly not in your favor says a lot. First step is admitting you have a problem my man.
you wylin son, making assumptions about someone you never met before. Nt at its finestYeah u definitely got a problem fam. Good luck with that. You need to get ur prerogatives in order. Wildin thinkin u doing it.
