I'll be spending most of my time in Thassos, I'll be in Athens for a couple of days.Originally Posted by LazyJ10
You may want to lock in now, there's no guarantee it'll continue to drop and it's still better than it was a year ago. Plus banks tack on % over the exchange.Originally Posted by cOlorWay
I'm heading to Greece next month.
I'm wondering if I should start to exchange some of my money now, or if I should hold out.
Where you headed?

It dropped to $1.19 today....the lowest in over half a decade.
When I first got over here it was like $1.67 ....it was terrible. Our COLA (cost of living allowance) drops along with the Euro but the dollar goes further so I'm happy.
If anyone was planning a trip to the EU now would be a good time.

You don't know much then, the U.K has been part of european union (or e.e.c back then) since 1973
