Important iPhone Question - Please Help

I have an iPhone 3G that's jailbroken at 3.1. I'm having issues with the the whole sleep-wake crash stuff soI wanna update it to 3.1.2 since it fixes that bug. I just wanna know how to update my phone without losing all my jailbroken apps/themes/etc.

Do any of you know? I'm relatively new to jailbreaking. Thanks.
