Doesnt' Tv on the Radio have an album planned for this year?
I have to pick up the Little Dragon album too

And since there is no real love for underground hip hop on this board...the new ratking album is outstanding. And right now i am in love with the new Atmosphere Album. It got mediocre reviews but i have been a huge fan since forever...and met slug at a concert back when he was touring for When life gives you lemons . Flicker has to be already a top 5 song by him for me about eyedea dying. Need to pick up Goldlink too love the first single off that album. And Apathy has a new album coming out soon so does sage francis (i love both singles off that album that have been released, thank you and Vonnegut busy are outstanding). Was really dissappointed in the new Army of the Pharaohs album "In Death Reborn". They are usually good for 2-5 great work out songs given its all just in your face east coast rap music...but the production was really a let down for me on the album and they let too many of the crap rappers on all the songs ie: crypt, planetary, reef, block mcloud

Ive heard good things about Swans new album and was meaning to check for Chromeo too. Lykke Li is getting good reviews too but i honestly haven't liked much of what i have heard from the album.

Always been a fan of the the funkier, Beegees sound in the Chromeos and Capital Cities. White Women doesn't disappoint

^ Get some new friends!! :lol

Pretty sure the wife and I will actually make it to the ATL show this time since it's on a Saturday. Bought my tickets the day they went on sale, so my fingers are crossed that it works out. Gonna be tight if I miss Jessie AND Yukimi in a few months time. :{

Just listened to the new BADBADNOTGOOD. Dope as always. To the uninitiated, they're a jazz trio with a heavy hip hop influence. Their first two albums are available free online and has a bunch of really well done covers.

New Banks

I like Banks but she doesn't have much range, pretty much all her songs sound the same from a vocal/production/writing standpoint.

Coucheron - Deep End (ft Eastside x Mayer Hawthorne)

Good summertime jam... We postin' Electronic jawns in here?

I agree. Except I haven't heard one song from this girl I can honestly say I liked.
I agree...except drowning....i listened to the song like 15 times already....idk what it is about this one song but i really like it, maybe its because vocally she sounds like Dessa on it at times and i love Dessa's music.  Everything else from Banks i get board from the monotone singing and zone out half way through the song

I know I'm probably late, but this Minks album is incredible!

Agreed with all points.

I might be on my own with this one, but I think both Banks & Lana are comparable in that their songs are mostly production-driven and that they're both mostly monotone. With that said, I'm a big fan of both.

It's funny i had a similar conversation with a friend.  I heard video games by lana back in the day and was like no way i like her other songs...this has to be a flash in the pan type thing....then i some how end up liking everything she has put out.  I said the same exact thing about Sky Ferriera.  I was like ok everything is embaressing is an 80s pop hit but no chance she can actually make good music....i was wrong.

It's strange how an artist that doesn't have really the vocal talent can some how recreate great music, especially when they don't play any instruments to make up for the lack of vocal range.

I have the biggest crush on the singer of CHVRHCES Lauren
