Is Common a Legend?

if ya callin common a legend but ya gimme problems when i call mobb deep and fat joe, and LL cool J legends..i got a serious problem wit that...

This guy still pushing the Fat Joe is a legend agenda, SMH. How many times have we told you champ, Fat Joe never has and NEVER WILL BE A LEGEND, just give it up already. The man is a fraud, simply put.

Word.

Ninja, seriously bro I think you have a problem. You're infatuation with Fat Joe is not healthy. This thread isn't about Fat Joe. Why come in hereand derail the thread? People have opinions. Not everything you state is fact (and it's pretty obvious since you call Joe a legend)..The only read facts inthis thread is that Common is a legend and Fat Joe is not. So what if Joe helped him out? That doesn't mean he's better than Common. Common is by farbetter than Joe. I will say one thing about Fat Joe though. Dude is pretty consistent. He consistently puts out garbage

..

Also, Ninjahood is entirely too defensive, because he posts up Billboard stuff (as if that matters) to back up the fact that Joe didn't have a big falloff, when I was discussing the topic of this thread. I can say that I honestly have never cared about Fat Joe's music enough to know if he makes classicmusic or not, so he could be amazing, and I would have no idea.

Fat Joe is like the Kevin Willis of rappers.
Preach choir!! It's down right asinine and embarrassing on Ninjahood's part to keep bringing up a lost cause, that of Fat Joe being alegend.

He's produced quality product and has contributed to hip hop.

In addition, he has a "Best Of" album out, so yeah I would say he's a legend.

Yup, I agree

Nope, dude quit putting out good albums around the time of LWFC. After that, his $!#!'s been straight NyQuil.

Common is definitely a legend. He has put in many years in the game ALONG with putting out quality music in that time; including a classic with "Be"(awaits hate from Com fans who refuse to believe anything can top "Resurrection"). Therefore he is a legend in my book.

LOL @ Fat Joe being a legend.

Time in the game does not equal Legend.
Exactly.

Dont get me wrong, I like most of Com's music, but Hip Hop would be exactly the same if he never picked up a mic.

@ anyone questioning LL's legendary status.

...real talk..i understand what you tryin to say...however..i think its ignorant to ignore the impact he had. he paved the way for guys like talib, lupe, rawkus records type dudes. i dont think a song using an extended metaphor like that was a hit the way i used to love h.e.r was. dude was groundbreaking imo.maybe cuz im from chicago i can see it clearer
