Is your city being overun by a onslaught of Vans?

I see a lot of people wear Vans with Black Crew Cut socks at the gym around my area.

Lot of dudes I know wear em to the gym as a cheap alternative for flat soled shoes for squats. At least that's the only reason I would wear them to the gym, cuz the comfort ain't there lol. I'm sure they rock em the same way outside the gym though.

Can't hate on the current hype cuz I used to rock vans back in HS. Sold my whooped *** pairs that were sitting around collecting dust for candy money on fleabay and I used a pair when I went camping then threw them joints in the campfire on the last day

Vans always been out here in Cali
Converse Chucks used to be hot out here in Cali too...but I don't see much people wear them anymore

I was always a Nike and Jordan head though

Folks still wearing Chucks. Just not exclusively now because Adidas are poppin and of course Nike is out there.

Circa 08 I used to clown on my cousins while going to kick backs in So Cal because we'd pull up and EVERYONE had them beat asss joints like Lil B wears and I never understood the intrigue..

Still don't...

They low key trash, but some of these birds been rocking em outchea to perfection :pimp:

Can't believe I thought Half Cabs were dope back in the day.

Even owned a pair in the streewear era :{ :lol

These are the only type I buy

Only vans I own

These are super comfy

that's because they have a different insole, all the 'pro' & 'lx' models have that ultracush insole. The regular vans don't have that, and anybody here saying they're comfortable are lying to themselves.

never wore vans a day in my life. never was a fan. fell for the fad and grabbed the checkered slip ons lol, wore them on vacation, loved them, came back and got another pair (same ones) lol.
Deep military and footlocker coupons used so I got both for $15 each.

Disappointed to see them all over NY now. Vans were always wack as hell to me. Straight white people shoes. I'll never own a pair.

With shoes going up to $180-$220, it makes sense people buying them. They're popular and classics and they cost a fraction of what the other shoes cost.

In so many words in a non pc way

On the real though Vans been around forever. Ive always seem them on everyone for years and years and ive been in NYC my whole life.

Yep, it's just who you surround yourself with or where you go. I remember kids in to skateboarding when I was in elementary school wearing Vans.

Eh, I have no reason to lie to myself. I've walked around in authentics and old skools all day with no problems. The lack of cushioning might be the same way those nike free sneakers or any minimal cushioning sneakers work. Your feet are low to the ground and able to move more naturally. Your feet aren't resting on top of layers of foam, plastic, air, and whatever else cushioning is mad of.

Chicks are the only shoes I will ever buy the same shoe of over and over.

They just work. Any time I feel like the scuff marks are starting to really show or they don't have that shine I just buy another pair.

I hate the checkered vans shoes. Or the slip ons. Not a fan of shoes without laces.

You go to bars in Hollywood and people have on their vans :lol and then the women with heels :rollin

Ninja has a point with the timbs and Foambs. If they were to all of sudden be on people feet I'd be like :eek
CLi don't really rock with them. At least here on the La area
