THE 2019 TURKEY NOMINEES
Antonio Brown - We don't have all day to list Antonio's experiences in the year 2019, but the oddsmakers say this is probably his award to lose. Now last we have heard from him was a Twitter apology to Robert Kraft.
Donald Trump - Reigning back-to-back winner, America's clown in chief spent 2019 (sports-wise) figuring out what champions might show up to the White House, what gold medal womens soccer star hates him more, what boos are louder at any stadium he showed up to, and for some reason he continues to play golf consistently (we thought all he wanted to do was work). Donald's Twitter account will be a first-ballot Turkey HOF selection when the time comes.
Robert Kraft - Was in the driver's seat for this award for quite awhile this year after being charged with solicitation at a Florida strip mall rub n' tug. With bonus points for one of his experiences being the day of the Patriots AFC Championship game several states away. The case is still not settled, and the NFL media have moved on even though we here have not.
College admission scandal Parents - Numerous parents, some famous, were caught being part of a pay to play scheme helping their well-off offspring get into prestigious universities....often involving fake athletic accomplishments and being recruited to be a part of teams. Gave us incredible entertainment for weeks when it showed us the inner workings on schools, coaches, and big money.
AAF football league - Slid off the radar for many of us, the AAF was a much-hyped Ebersol and Bill Polian product that started right after the NFL Super Bowl...and lasted less than 2 months before folding and leaving players out to dry. They have since filed for bankruptcy and auctioned off their equipment in July.
Cincy Bengals - The NFL's only winless team (0-11), has not won a game in 347 days. Fans should have great confidence in this franchise turning it around as they have achieved zero playoff wins in 29 years.
Late scratches, but still right there: Miami Dolphins, Anthony Davis/New Orleans situation, Jimmy Butler, Rutgers football, New York Knicks, Houston Astros front office
