iTunes Downloads Always Slow

Am I the only one that suffers from slow itunes downloads?  When I download from Amazon or other sources, I get a decent speed for my connection.  I think itunes is taking 3 or 4 times longer than other websites would take.

I'm sure laptop is working fine and my d/l speed is 9 mbps.  I'm trying to d/l the iOS 5.0 update which is like 800mb.  I get times ranging from 77 minutes to 3 hours.

I rarely download from itunes, but that doesn't happen with me.

nope, itunes is crap when it comes to speed. just loading the store takes more time than it should. both on mobile devices and computers.

When I was downloading the 5.0.1 iOS update to my phone it took like 15-20 min. (and I was using the school Wi-Fi, which is slow)

Appreciate all the replies.  Don't download much, but from my experiences with other sites, I thought it should only have taken 20 mins as well.  Frustrating...
