all you nerds gonna come back in a week talking about how much it grew on you.
Great album jeramaine. proud of you
He should have put Truly Yours I, II and III on the second disk as a full mix tape.
I ain't the saaame
Album is below average....Let NaS Down 2 coming soon
Good point. Didn't consider that.He should have put Truly Yours I, II and III on the second disk as a full mix tape.
Might not have been able to legally put all those songs on that cd. For sure not Truly Yours 1 and Cole Summer, Ms. Hill woulda definitely sued
He probably only had clearance for the 5 songs he used. Technically those 5 songs Are still being sold and purchased, so you can't just throw your mixtape songs into it without clearance.
Back off, bro.Man I heard the song with Jhene Aiko and thought, "IDK who she is, but her voice sounds like shes gorgeous" and sure enough I google her and what I saw man...
LAnd of the snakes is horrible.
Not only did he waste blatant copy of a classic Outkast sample, but he didn't do anything with it at all. No harmony, no melodies, no beat switching, and worse of all if you just gonna straight rap on the loop then at least bring it...and he didn't. Bunch of crap bars for Coles standards. Nothing dark or deep about those lyrics I think that's what disappoints us, when he says its about to be dark...then be fu**** dark... There's barely any darkness in the album, and when there is its at random moments... So that whole dark-to-light theme doesn't exist.
Runaway is dark, let nas down is obviously deep, but I mean...where else is this said darkness Jermaine? Just sayin, not tryna hate.
But anyways, on a positive note... Trouble is a problem on the ******g speakers yo. A problem
they should of just used the og beat for forbidden fruit imo...yea he bodied that second verse
Whoever thinks this album is wack is out of their mind. Nobody in the rap game is flowing like this. He stepped it up in every way possible, not to mention his production improved in creating a cohesive piece, instead of every song sounding like separate ideas.
And Forbidden Fruit may just be his best lyrical performance. Straight bodied that
.
Album is a 4/5. Good work Jermaine. Now we just need that K.Dot collaboration.
The interludes are all skippable except MM and there are still 2-3 songs that get the instant skip from me. But those bonus tracks are FIVE new songs which are all good and some of the hardest songs on the whole album. So, yes, after absorbing the album a good 10x and hearing all the new tracks, opinions will change. It's music, dude, it happens. Most quotable statement in this damn thread
NT a bunch of haters until official reviews start coming out.
I thought album was fire from the start and already people are coming back "album completely changes with the deluxe tracks"
But you thought all the other songs were trash...**** you talking about?
Cole put his blood, sweat, and tears into this and you get the results from that, it's simple
