Jamaican government talks legalization of marijuana

Why do Rastafarians think marijuana is good? I mean it is good (

) but is there some religious connection to it or something? Please excuse me ignorance,bredrens.
 
This will be a bad idea the Jamaican government just want it legalised so they can control it. (not like they don`t already)

It's one of those unwritten laws that marijuana (weed) is legal in Jamaica, even the police, politicians (politricks) & soldiers smoke it while onduty. So it only make sense to officially legalize it, got it?

Stop the stereotype, not everyone in Jamaica smoke marijuana.

This could result in a boost in tourist revenue if applied properly. Other than that it won't change the internal strife that's existed beforeJamaica was even involved as a hub in the trafficking of drugs.
