These shoes were groundbreaking, simple, sleek and it has a sci-fi feel to it. If aliens arrived on Earth they would have these shoes on wearing shiny suits. I remember the frenzy for these during the 95-96 NBA season. I couldn't afford them then and did not get the chance to buy them now. I remember when you could walk into a shop and still find these because people couldn't afford a $125 shoe.

Me personally I think they are slightly overrated. Like an earlier post I believe the 3s are the best design hands down. I remember not being able to get them in 96 due to buying the penny's instead. I was in 6th grade at the time. So for me it's about finally being able to buy a pair that I couldn't get earlier in life.
