Jobless and Frustrated NTers check in VOL. WE NOT-WORKIN!!!

They called me today that I got the job, the pay might not be great but its better than being at home. Mon-Frid 8-5 not bad this should hold me while I explore more options calmly. I feel blessed.

Nice! I love hearing the success, keep it coming. Just applied to a gig, have to keep the upward mobility going.

im so pissed because i just came from a job interview and feel like i answered 1 question wrong so it messed up the whole interview... its no big deal since i have a job already but this position is for more money and more responsibilities at the company i work for now just different location...well long story short the person interviewing me says whats the pros and cons of my position... so im already thinking of the pros which is good i tell them i like the work, love my coworkers and the upper management we got a great team and i get along with them... then the con i said the work can be monotonous and tedious :{ .... i was honest but it wasnt the right place to say that but i didnt know what to say and instead of having a long pause and thinking over my answer i said the first thing that came to my mind

Just got back from an interview. I think it went well, but I have to wait for a response for the second round of interviews and then take a test to show what I can do.  I will find out later this week, but I have a good feeling.

I hadn't worked in 4 years, I just got a job working at a call center for $8.50 / hr., but yesterday was informed that min. wage went up to $9.

Sup NT..while u all are looking for full-time employment..u should hit up restarants/banquet halls for catering/serving positions..it's summertime now so that means a lot of weddings/graduations/birthday parties..these places always need help and some pay more than others..did this in the past and it can hold u down for a minute..u can even keep the gig and let it be ur wknd thing when u land that 9 to 5

Congratulations to all those on the come up
and for those on the search keep your head up

I'm currently working at my local airport with a contract company w/ delta. Pay sucks and the flight benefits suck. I was going to itt tech for it but dropped out around my last semester cause I felt I wasn't learning and the school didn't provide any help/tutors/ect. I'll be 28 in October and feel like I'm behind in life. If anyone cares hmu in a pm with any tips and advise especially if you are in it... I might go back

Im kinda going through the same thing. I'll be 26 in a couple weeks and currently hate the job I have at the moment. I wanna get into IT but have no experience and not sure what the best route is to get into the field

I need to make a decision on which job I will take. I got a job working for (part time)American Eagle(the airline for you funny guys) last week and just waiting for my background check to come through. I also use to work for them last year. Over the weekend a Sprint asst manager contacted me saying she has been searching for me to offer me a full time job doing the retail sales floor. Thought it was crazy that she was looking to hire me since I missed my interview by coming on the wrong day a few months ago

and my boy who works there was hitting me up asking if I wanted to work for Sprint before she called me.

Basically I looking for a job that will work with my school schedule and let me stack money for my move to DC at the end of the year after I graduate. Airport is not paying a lot($9.75 a hour with a 50 cent raise after 6 months). But I do get unlimited overtime plus I fly first class for no more than $20.00 round trip.

I haven't done my interview with sprint but this will be a full time job but I not sure what the pay will be like. I hear Att and T mobile employees are making good money, $2000+ paychecks but I'm not sure how that store is ran plus I am leaving best buy. Kind of tried of retail.

Just not sure which will be a better option......chilling in the Air conditioner slanging phones or outside slanging bags. I think after my interview with sprint will help me choose.

my boy works for tmobile, he makes about 3k a month after the commission check comes in. at a cell phone store, youre pretty much banking on new phones, although you make money on everything. not sure, but i dont really hear of anyone with sprint, so your commission check might be on the low side. and i'm sure you're aware that at every sales job, there are quotas to meet. if i was in your position i would go for an internship (paid or not paid). nothing worse than graduating with a resume full of jobs that have nothing to do with your major. plus you never know if these internships will give you a full time since youre about to graduate; if you work hard and they really like you, this could easily happen imo.

snowinsahara snowinsahara I feel you on the internship but my career path is different from most since I'm getting my Masters in Food Science but my undergrad is marketing with a concentration in supply chain. I want a internship in Food Science (I have some student work) but I'm looking to work for a year(while taking prereqs for grad school) since I got f'ed over this semester for taking prereqs.

I'm still going to look for internships for the Fall semester. Just need to start making some money after graduation since I'm moving.
