Yeah it sucks. I'm not paying resell, I try my best to not support the resellers

I commend you. I try to only really pay resell if it's for a pair I absolutely need and missed out on or its to buy a double up pair from Ebay since I can cherry pick the best shoes (i.e. like when I chose a pair of Fire Red 3s that had low EP with lines that weren't too thick.)

It would be great if JB just pumped these out in the same numbers as a Black Friday or Holiday 11 release so everyone that truly wants these can get them. I can only imagine how bad it's going to be when we finally get past the Reimagined line and start getting High '85 Chicago's, Black Toes, etc. Gonna have to have put away a few hundred just to get a single pair I bet.

Got them. Standard factory flaws, don't care. Very happy to have, will be laced up with white and on foot later in the week. No regrets after rocking mochas for two years and selling those to fund these.

Copped from kickscrew. Was hesitant because of all the bad reviews. But it was the cheapest I could find when I struck out. Still a few dollars less than todays market. Checks out in my opinion. Something’s are questionable, but nothing major. These definitely have that classic bad Nike quality control to them. Tags inside the shoes stitched in sloppily. Can’t even see the size. Stickers were misplaced on insole vs those I’ve seen copped for retail. One shoe slightly higher than the other. But the Stitches check out. Toe box look nice on mine. What you guys think?

It seems like the toebox of the nu '85 1s tends to flatten/develop a slant as the leather is broken in. This used pair of Neutral Grey's looks like yours in that regard and the owner didn't mention anything in the description about reshaping the toe.

This was stated repeatedly in the Neutral Gray thread, but people in there rather complain then discuss shoes, so I can see how it was missed.

White laces for now, will probably swap to black when they get dirty. Leather is thiccc in a good way. Black leather feels like a similar finish and texture to the red on lost and found. They'll be mint when broken in. 2014 bw leather was softer IIRC but I prefer these for sure. The '85s look great top down to me as well, much more form fitting and less bulky than OG high cut IMO. I also love the tongue shape and fit vs 2014. 2014s had that stiff, barely padded tongue.

Leather toeboxes without any reinforcement will slowly collapse with wear. It’s normal in all shoes. But if they add the support, they will rarely ever flatten.
