Looks like Nike finally took the complaints and tucked and folded the pop colored backing to conceal it from the front view. The collar padding is less also similar to the OGs so they don’t look so bulky in that area anymore.

Remember buying both the Black Cement and True Blues in 01. I was ignorant at the time at just how good the quality was. I didn’t realize til much later on when J.B. started messing with the shape, the jumpman on the heel and the awful mid soles that peeled just how special those pairs were. It’s crazy that here we are 21 years later and Nike has not managed to replicate that.

I think if people stopped buying them because of the lesser quality Nike would be forced to improve quality, but that’s not happening because heads buy them regardless. These are a step in the right direction at least.
