Jordan XII Cherry OG 1997 vs 2009 Retro differences...

Was trying to do some research but I couldn't mind much comparing these two versions. Were there any differences between the retro's and the OG's? As far as color, quality or materials? Any risk buying an OG pair now if I could even find one. Do 12's have midsole separation issues? Yellowing? Appreciate the help!

Suggest not buying either one and wait for the next version to be released. 97s will sole separate, tabs will crack. If your not into shoe repair you wont want originals. The 09 is ok at best but the shape is not the same as an original. The red is slightly darker. I like em personally but if I were you I would just wait.

The OG was amazing, the retro is an ABOMINATION. Terrible leather, terrible shape, dark red, chrome eyelets. A true shame before God.

Here are a few detailed shots of my OG pair, which I still wear occasionally. They are FAR superior to the 2009 retro (in terms of quality, materials and shape). There’s no comparison.

I’d recommend the OG, and wouldn’t mind paying to have them worked on, if necessary. But the 12s are my grail and I’m biased, so take my opinion with a large grain of salt.

As bad as I want a retro of these I’m terrified JB won’t give us the proper color red on them. It’ll no doubt be better than the ‘09 retro but the right shade is super important to the look of this colorway
