I agree though, it's a huge risk trying to cop these solely for resale if you don't have the funds to sit on them if they flop.

The 2 is not a popular model (but look at DB8's & how high they are selling at).

The retail price + ATC service (which most, if not all will use) you're looking at about a $550 "investment."

I think if you can get your hands on them for retail... ( No hats, no ATC's) and if you flipped.. You could make decent money.  I gotta see them in person to see if I want to keep my pair.
