well you know what? that's a false perception of new immigrants having more loyalty to their country of origin than the us brought about by the xenophobia that exists within the hearts of many americans. you can come and work for us and do all our menial labour, but you're still not good enough to be judged as one of us. you're still on the fringes of society regardless of how much you do for this country
every wave of immigrants have endured the same amount of bs from previous generations of hyphenated americans who seemed to have forgotten what their granparents and such may have gone through. you don't come to this country and immediately mesh into the mainstream of society just because others expect you to. especially not, when you got !$%%% who are active in their degradation of one's people.
$@$%, i mean you have americans of mexican background who have been in this country several generations longer than many so-called americans themselves and who are still looked as as one of "them" rather than one of "us'
