The shooting at Arrowhead Stadium reportedly has resulted in one death at the team facility, and one death elsewhere.

According to KCTV, an unnamed player has committed suicide at Arrowhead Stadium. He shot himself at the practice facility after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend at a home near 54th Street and Chrysler Avenue.

Per Jay Glazer of FOX, Chiefs players are being asked to assemble at the team facility for a meeting regarding the situation.

More details to come.

You never know what someone is going through on a day to day basis. They may be smiling on the outside while crying on the inside.

The person who I truly feel for in this situation is their 2.5 month old child that will now grow up w/o knowing their parents.

RIP though.

No matter if it's related or not...

The league will crack down even harder on concussion related plays and protocols.

RIP to javon and his girl and to the NFL as we know it

Sad and bizarre

"Word out of Kansas City is that linebacker Javon Belcher, killed his girlfriend then committed suicide in front of head coach and GM."

OH wow!!  Boo-hoo for you I'm so sorry that the NFL is going to unfairly crack down on concussions solely for public relations purposes and ruin your enjoyment of the game :frown: :frown: :frown: :frown:..   Poor guy!

Let's not be so quick to judge this on concussions. Players have been getting concussions since the inception of the NFL, so what do we have weaker brains now???

No...  Players have been sustaining incredible brain damage since the inception of the NFL, it's just that it's only now being heavily catalogued.

This is like the argument where people say "No one who fought in WWI or WWII had PTSD, are people in Vietnam and after just weaker?  Why aren't they strong like the 'greatest generation'?"
