This is what west coast rap needed for the past 12 years or so, maybe longer than that...
Someone who has no false intentions, no false bravado, no ********...just an artist speaking from the heart with some of the best songwriting skills, and ear for production around.
This is what Game wish he could have done...but i dont wanna start rapper vs rapper with this. its just true...
Currently have 1-11 on my Itunes marked as 5 stars...think i gotta give Compton a 4...hate to do it cause the production is GREAT and i like the verses, but it isnt up to par with the rest. still a really good song regardless

Section 80 is no way better than GKMC. It's impossible because Section 80 is more of a prequel if you will and no prequel is ever better than the book. Getting tired of peeps saying that Section 80 is better. Section 80 is a great body of work, but it's not better. Dude just released the best solo debut Hip-Hop album of the 21st century and people talkin about "Section 80 better cuh". People saying that haven't listened carefully.

Whoa now, too early to call that. Agreed it's better than Section.80, but I really dont think it'll measure up as the best hip hop debut of the past 12 years if we all take the time to break the possibilities down, though it is possible.

It may be early for people who just copped tonight on iTunes, but I and many others have been listening since Wed. and I can say it with confidence after going through from beginning to end 10+ times. And every time it finishes from "Compton" to "Recipe" I just SMH because the airplane landing to me represents that he made it and he's landed safely, where as before when "Recipe" was released just as a single it didn't strike me that way. GKMC and Life is Good album sequencing is as close as you can get to perfection.

Yeah, I've had the album since last week too. Less than a week isn't enough time to anoint anything 'best of _' as much as you'd like to. 'Debut of the year?' Maybe. 'Concept AotY?' Maybe. 'Debut of the past 12 years?' Give it time to sink in and stand up to time. There's only a few albums I think are in the argument, and this looks like it'll join them, but for now it's just the hot new **** out. People are becoming prisoners of the moment.

I think people just forget...its not so much getting caught in the moment, its forgetfulness....but maybe those go together in some cases

People need to calm down....I'm sure he means that dude deserves the money for putting out a quality album.
And lupe took a screen shot of him downloading the album....you can calm down with the "he has no plays on his itunes"...yeah the album is still downloading. Relax. His later tweets actually talk about songs he liked on the album
So is the physical copy going to be in stores today (Monday) or do i still have to wait until tomorrow (Tuesday). Either way i have been trying not to listen to anything so i can get the full album experience. Only heard swimming pools so far haven't listened to peer pressure. Can't wait to pick up my copy
