Okay, these shouldn't retail for more than $150, IMO

I agree. They look decent though. I'm glad thatt went away from the drop-in midsole.
I'm really feeling these joints. I got enough IXs. Time for the Xs

99.9% sure these have lunarlon in the forefoot (going off of deconstruction pics from earlier in the thread)Looks mad comfy tho.. finally no more lunarlon... right?

Lunarlon is fine, it's been used on Kobe's since the 4, I believe. It's the drop-in lunarlon midsole crap that needs to never return.

Kobe 5, 6 and 7 all had zoom.. (7 was the first to have the replaceable insoles). 4's had it only in the heel if I remember correctly.
Zoom> lunar.
I was thinking the same thing. The midsole has no sharp lines and the upper is plain as can be, which is not a bad thing as patterns, graphics, gradients can be applied easily. The shoe is shaped like a bobsled lol.The straight line of the midsole with no interruption all the way from the cf piece to the back is SOOOO plain, but that front portion saves it for me. Side view now has me a bit baffled as to why they made it just straight fuse and plain, cheap-looking swoosh stuck on it in a kinda boring way. Tongue gets major props though

IVs had zoom in the heel, with the rest being lunarlon. Vs and VIs both had forefoot and heel zoom, no lunarlon. The Vs and VIs had phylon midsoles. Kobe I through VII were all "Zoom Kobe" in name. The IXs are the first Kobe to date where there's been absolutely no zoom option of any kind, whether it's built into the shoe or through an insert like the 8s.Kobe's started out with zoom, hence the name "zoom kobe 1, zk1".
I'm pretty sure the 4,5,6 midsole was made out of lunarlon. I might be wrong.
I'm just saying the drop-in stuff is a joke.
