Not sure about the Curry 2's, haven't tried them, but a really comfortable hoop shoe right out of the box, no break in, with great support and traction is the Soldier 9.  You can catch most colorways under $100 right now too.  Just a thought based upon your comments of what you look for in a shoe.  

Ehhh I bet they're comfortable cause I've had a couple of the Soldier models before and they were always comfortable right out of the box and good performers but I'm just really not a fan of the way these ones look.

All stars aren't bad looking. They just look like a ID pair to me.
