**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

if the home team picks to wear the road jersey the away team would have to wear the home jersey

I think that's how it works in the NFL for sure. But not NBA.

They just have to wear a contrasting color, not necessarily their home or away jersey:

"Coinciding with the introduction of the new uniforms, the NBA is eliminating its "Home" and "Road" uniform designations. Beginning with the 2017-18 season, home teams will pick which of their uniforms will be worn at all home games and visiting teams will choose a contrasting uniform within their own assortment."
But that still doesn't answer why the lakers rarely wore purple.

Definitely glad I ordered the purple. Need a white if NDC puts them up

Black side panel on the purples...interesting

Need to see the shorts

Damn, they goofed on the purple jersey with the black side panel. That's a case of doing too much and keep it simple, stupid.

Now, where the black jerseys at? :nerd: That's my only hope right now with the white joints in 2nd. Might just have to make a custom or something with these little design choices they're making.

I actually don't hate it as much as most people. It's the lesser of all three evils though as I hate white Lakers jerseys and Kobe & Magic are the only Lakers that deserve to be in the gold color in my collection. Plus, you're right in that it's too banana yellow for my taste. So purple wins by default.
